Unlike Samsung’s other Montes, this is far from a complete package.samsung e2550 monte slider 2 150x150 Samsung Monte Slider E2550 The slider reference pertains to the fact that the keypad slides out and the handset skips a touch screen altogether. It looks to be a low-end entry into the market for them trying to piggyback on the Monte name.

The phone is certainly aimed at those who like to chat or use social networking and email often with its touch screen and slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Samsung stepped back from the standard black coloring for mobile phones and instead went with a white quilted look on this new touch phone. But is it a shallow representation? Samsung recently announced another touchscreen phone, the Monte (GT-S5620). It’s being released in Spain as the Onix and may appear in the States with a similar moniker (Onyx).
